New Moon: Pull Yourself Towards a Higher Vibration

There will be a New Moon in Ashlesha nakshatra on Sunday, August 4.  Ashlesha means the clinger or the entwiner and is symbolized by a coiled serpent, like the pharmacist’s symbol. It’s shakti is the power to poison and its desire is to overcome enemies. It is ruled over by Nagas, the deified serpent.

Remember that poison can either heal or hurt, depending on the dose. Just like medicine. This nakshatra is related to the deep mystical power of kundalini energy, as is symbolized by the serpent. Psychological influence is high, positively or negatively, through the power of words. 

A noble use for this lunar month is awareness of your thoughts and words. Notice if you are saying things to influence positively or to manipulate. Check your intentions consistently, discover the underlying motivation and examine it to pull yourself towards a higher vibration. The stillness at the end of meditation is helpful for gaining insight.
