Astrology Corner - Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces

We have already covered the first nine signs of the Zodiac. Today we complete this discussion with the last three signs. Once again, remember that these are pure archetypal descriptions. A sign can act differently or even opposite these descriptions if certain planets affect it in certain ways.

CAPRICORN is symbolized by the mythical goat-crocodile: the back half has the body of a crocodile and the front half that of a goat. It is ruled by Saturn and is the sign of actualization and pragmatism. Capricorn is an earth sign, it is serious, organized, responsible, active, and busy. Its energy relates to career and achievement, perseverance and patience, working ambitiously towards goals. Capricorns can be rigid in their views and quite conservative. Their practical aptitude allows them to manifest visions into the material world. They love structure and are determined. They can work untiringly towards their goals and tend to rise up the ladder of an organization because they are willing to do things others are not willing to do. All signs have high vibrations and low vibrations because we all have good days and bad days. Capricorn’s high vibration relates to actualizing ideas and practical service. Its low vibration relates to feeling melancholy when goals are not achieved.

AQUARIUS is symbolized by the pot carrier who is pouring out the pot into the ocean. But instead of liquid, what comes out of the pot is ether. Like Capricorn, Aquarius is also ruled by Saturn and is the sign of progress, of the group/community, the sign of the humanitarian. Aquarius is an air sign and is concerned with communication and knowledge. Its interest is in social activity, the common good, and charitable ideas. Social welfare and general concern for humanity is important to this sign. They make good teachers and leaders. Aquarians are humble and can do much service to benefit the greater good. They like to take the side of the underdog in life, like those who are restrained or oppressed by society. Aquarians tend to relate to many different kinds of people and thus usually have a diverse group of friends. Their high vibration relates to thinking outside the box, being a thinker ahead of their time, and helping many. Their low vibration relates to being self-critical and underestimating their own value.

PISCES is symbolized by two fish swimming in opposite directions. It is ruled by Jupiter and is the sign of inspiration and idealism. It is a water sign, concerned with higher consciousness and going beyond the boundaries of the material world. It produces interest in religion, spirituality, traditional ceremonies and ritual. It is introspective, intuitive, sensitive, healing, empathetic, and imaginative. It is a highly compassionate sign moved by pity and sympathy. Pisces can be dreamy and can get caught up in illusions. It is a vague sign, hard to pin down and will change its nature to appeal to a situation or to appease others. It is also creative, mystical, and inspirational. Pisces’ high  vibration relates to inspiration and wanting the ideal in all situations. Its low vibration relates to frustration when things (relationships, career, etc.) are not how they want them to be.
