There will be a new moon in Hasta nakshatra in Virgo on Wednesday, October 2nd. Hasta means ‘the hand’ and is symbolized by a hand or a fist. Its Shakti is the power to place your wish in the palm of your hand. It is ruled by the moon and its desire is ‘to have gods place faith in me’. This nakshatra is associated with doing work with the hands, achieving goals, conquering internal and external enemies, speaking, writing, and a sense of humor. The hand can also symbolize struggle as it can form a fist, especially to fight injustices.
This month is excellent for writing down goals and making major progress on them and/or achieving them. It’s a good time for focusing on ambitious projects and aspirations. In my experience a simple hack for achieving goals is to write them down. The power of focusing your thoughts by writing them down helps to manifest the intention in the material world.
The alternative symbol for Hasta is the fist and is related to fighting injustice or what you perceive to be unfair. It’s not a time for being pushed around and letting people step on your boundaries. Use kindness and light-heartedness to stay in your power and not give your power away with weak boundaries. If this is difficult for you, practice saying simple things like “no thank you” or “I’ll think about it” when asked to do something you feel pressured to comply with.
Living the spiritual path is a balance of Doing and Being, with the ultimate outcome being a witnessing (Being) of your actions (Doing). Use this month to align with the natural laws of achievement even as you observe them with spiritual detachment.
