There will be a new moon in Shravana nakshatra in Capricorn on January 29th. Shravana is symbolized by three footprints and means ‘the ear’. Its Shakti is to connect, and its desire is to hear others say good things about oneself. Its deity is Vishnu, and it is ruled by the Moon.
It is a constellation of listening and oral communication, leading to articulate and effective speech. It gives interest in philosophy and the ability to develop wisdom. People born with a focal point (Sun, Moon, or Ascendant) in Shravana tend to become prosperous and well-known, can link diverse concepts, and appreciate walking and travel. It wants to fulfill familial duties and it gives the ability to restore order and balance in life on a regular basis.
A story in mythology relates to the demons taking over the world. This caused Lord Vishnu to take on the disguise of a short man to help out the demon king. When the demon king wanted to reward the man with riches, the man replied that all he wanted was the territory he could cover with three steps. The king laughed and granted the wish. Vishnu shed his disguise and made himself enormously big. With one step he covered the world, with another step he covered the heavens, and with the third step he put his foot on the demon king and sent him and his followers back to the underworld. He restored order and balance.
In the next month, what area of your life needs to be restoration and balance? Is it a certain relationship? Money? Career? Health? A habit or addiction? Reflect deeply on what you need to let go of or what you need to invite into your life and use this month’s energy to make major progress in that area of life.
